The UNB Reds/Valley Graphics female Athlete of the Month, for January, is Kendra Woodland, from the women’s hockey team.
Woodland started eight of the team’s nine games, posting a record of four wins, three losses and an overtime loss.
In six of the games, Woodland was named first or second star.
The first-year Red leads Atlantic University Sport in save percentage with two regular season games remaining.
“Kendra was our back-bone in January,” said Reds head coach Sarah Hilworth. “She was particularly impressive in securing our first win in 10 years in ‘The Battle of the Hill.’ We’re confident in the direction of our team, and Kendra has been leading the charge all season.”
